1st GAMM Workshop on Interfacial and Multiphase Flow

Our institute hosted a 2-day workshop on interfacial and multiphase flow that also served as the kick-off meeting (first conference) of the recently established GAMM Activity Group Interfacial and Multiphase Flow. The meeting attracted 42 attendees and featured 22 talks as well as a poster session with 7 posters, spanning a broad range of topics on interfacial and multiphase flow, from mathematical modeling and analysis to numerical methods and applications. Discussions were active throughout the program, and the poster session provided additional time for detailed one-on-one exchanges. The workshop was organized by Marco ten Eikelder (our institute), Jan Giesselmann and Dieter Both (both TU Darmstadt), Helmut Abels (University of Regensburg), and Barbara Wagner and Dirk Peschka (both WIAS, Berlin).
